Some people have asked about where this book and CD storage is going to go, and the easiest way I can explain it, is to show you. So here is the floor plan of the lower level (not a basement, as it’s above grade except for the furnace and utility area and part of the guest room).
The drawing is NOT to scale, I’m afraid, but it’s all I could get from the 1998 original builder. So the room marked “The Hold” is smaller, the wall showing CD storage is longer, the “Book Room” not quite so large, but you will get the idea. After all this is in and filled, there will be photographs.
Looking forward to the photos. Love the idea of a book room, as you can well imagine.
Looks like you have considerably more room that in the old house. Keep us posted.
And you’re still planning on the Library on the main floor, I hope.
This kinda helps, but doesn’t really answer my question last post or Evans question, much better put, in this one. So….?
Aren’t you afraid international boook thieves will see this on line and use it to case the joint?
I love the heading “Book room!”
Taking shape, Rick!
Looks like you have lots and lots of space. Be careful that you don’t expand to fill it – always a temptation.
