Bouchercon 2014, “Murder at the Beach”, the world mystery convention, begins tomorrow and runs November 13 – 16 in Long Beach, California. I’ve been to several Bouchercons, in Seattle, Milwaukee, Monterey and most recently San Francisco, but I’ll not be in Long Beach for this one, as much as I’m sure I’d enjoy the heck out of it. I had to make a choice on a con, and this year I chose Left Coast Crime in Monterey, CA last Spring. It was great, but certainly no Bouchercon, which is the biggest, best mystery convention there is.
So to all of you who are going, have a blast, buy lots of books, make new friends and visit with old ones, get to some panels, don’t miss Art Scott’s slide show, and generally just have a great time. I’ll be there with you in my thoughts. Whether your there or not, comments on this post will help me and anyone else reading them stay up to date on goings-on. Have fun!
