A Christmas Surprise We Could Have Done Without (Part 2)

The plumber arrived about 1:30 this afternoon, ready to get us all fixed up.

Plumbing 02Last night, we had one working bathroom; toilet, shower, sink. So that was great, and we got by. Spent some of the evening watching the Hallmark Channel, which is showing Christmas/holiday movies around the clock. I didn’t sleep well.

So the plumber is working in the (room to stand up in it) crawl space, actually a sub basement. I just talked to him and he said he’ll be able to get it all fixed today, so in a couple of hours we will have a new pipe section replacing the old broken one and be up and running, pun intended. The only question that remains is cost. I’m worried. ┬áTo be continued…

    At least he doesn’t have to “send for a part” to Paducah which will take 4-6 weeks to arrive.

    Hallmark Channel? I’d rather watch the legislature discuss sewage disposal proposals. To each his own, I guess.

    Which only proves, Bob, that you’re an even bigger Scrooge, Bah Humbug than I am. It’s a bunch of Christmas movies, fer heaven’s sake.
