One Hundred and Seventy-Five of them

Bulbs. Mostly Daffodils. Planted in the garden last Saturday. We have hopes for Spring.

By the way, no FFB here tomorrow, sorry. Just reading too slowly, I guess.

That is wonderful! Can’t wait to see the spring/summer pictures with all things growing and flourishing.

  2. Yes, they’ll look nice come spring. Reminds me, though, that I’m the only one in my family with a “black” thumb.

  3. Patti Abbott says:

We just bought a hundred new tulips. We replace every year since Phil can’t wait for them to die back to plant annuals. There’s a new tulip that’s pale green and white. Gorgeous.

  4. Jeff Meyerson says:

Nice, but get your priorities straight. Books come first!

    😉

  5. Richard says:

Carl, Randy, Patti – this is the first year we’ve planted bulbs in ages, mainly for the reason Patti states, with a planting area of only 4×6 feet for bulbs and annuals, bulbs coming up and blooming intruded on the planting of annuals, which in SoCal overlapped. Here, the daffodils will come up before much else is happening, and since the majority of them are either along a walkway or around the rose bed, we’ll just tie them over instead of cutting them off or pulling them. And Patti, why doesn’t Phil pull and store those Tulip bulbs? Things are about done here, except the new deck, the mulch, and a few details, so today I’m going to get out and take “after” photos. Look for before / after posting(s) next week.

Jeff, I’m plugging away on a short story collection but with all the ruckus around here it’s slow going. Maybe next week.

  6. And I’m probably allergic to all of them.

  7. Richard says:

Probably, George. One of these days you’re going to wake up and find you are allergic to paper. Then what? Of course those allergies are all psychosomatic.

  8. Patti Abbott says:

I will mention that to him. I am not sure if it’s because it’s too cold outside and too warm inside or not.

  9. I’ll always have my iPad, Rick. I’m up to 129 ebooks so far.

  10. Jeff Meyerson says:

He hasn’t read any, you understand, but he has them.

    No New Arrivals this week?
