Just a quick note to say the rainstorms that caused some flooding and mudslides in areas of central and southern California seem to have passed through and moved east, and today it’s sunny and clear, though still cold for this area. We had no problems here at home, everything is weather tight and well drained, and we certainly need the rain, though it’s a shame it has to come all at once like that. More rain is forecast for later this week.
Wherever you are, I hope you are safe, warm and well.
That’s the way it was in Texas last year. No rain for months, then nothing but rain for weeks. Weird.
Glad to hear that all is safe there.
We’re on a weather roller coaster here, Rick. Last week, it was freezing. Then, yesterday, we were in the 40s with heavy rain (which is good because an inch of rain is equal to a foot of snow–I don’t have to shovel rain). When I woke up this morning it was 46, right now it’s 33. The high temperature this Friday is going to be 17 degrees.
No, we’re wet but warm.
55 today but cold by the weekend, with snow possible.
Too bad we had to postpone leaving for Florida until next week.
When watching the nightly news in the past week or so, I was always on the lookout for an older gentleman paddling a kayak or a dinghy full of cats, books, soundtracks, and strong opinions.
The tv didn’t show anything like that, so I figured you survived all that rain okay.
Jeff, that is too bad. I’m sure the place is jumping with joy over the Saints win yesterday.
Drongo, that’s for that laugh! Good one!
Roller coaster here also. The low overnight yesterday was mid-fifties. The high called for today is forty-three.
