Away for Christmas

I’ll be off the computer for a while, enjoying the season. Very best to everyone for a healthy, happy and special holiday, and best wishes to all for the coming year.

There will NOT be a Friday Forgotten Book or Saturday Soundtrack on December 25th-26th or on January 1st-2nd. I may post something next week, but can’t be sure right now.

Here’s something to brighten your holiday, at least if you’re a cat person, which I am.

Great picture! Have a fine holiday!

  2. Scott Cupp says:

Rick – Have a great holiday and I look forward to your next Saturday soundtrack. How about an Alex North or Jerry Goldsmith sometime soon?

  3. Richard says:

Scott, Great suggestions. Of the two, I’m more a North fan than Goldsmith, but you can count on both of them before too long.

Happy holidays back at you, and a happy and healthy 2010 to you and yours, and a year filled with happy surprises.

  4. Drongo says:

How did they get five cats to wear hats and sit still long enough to have their picture taken?

Oh well. Happy holidays, and I hope you survive spending time with your family!

  5. Richard says:

The hats appear, on close inspection, to be Photoshopped on. As for them sitting together, who knows?

The “family” part of the holiday is already over, it’s just the Wife, myself, and our five cats (not the five shown in the picture) to enjoy the rest of the year.

Today we bought a bottle of champagne for New Year’s Eve, a bottle of petite sirah for Christmas eve (to go with the prime rib roast, garlic mashed potatoes, artichokes, and Dutch Apple pie) and some snacks to accompany football and parade watching. We’re set!

  6. Jeff Meyerson says:

I’m not a cat person but I loved the picture.

There was an adorable kitten on the last couple of episodes of THE CLOSER too.

    Have a great holiday.

  7. Happy Holidays to you and your family, Rick!

  8. Richard says:

Thanks very much, George, same back your way. Hope the weather there isn’t too demanding.
