Goodbye Mystery News

Mystery News closes the doors.

Recently came the news that Mystery News, a fine mystery review and interview publication for which I had the honor and pleasure of doing a column for a while some years back, is turning out the lights. There’s a good article on this and the future of ink-and-paper mystery specialty publications over at The Rap Sheet here: Don’t Stop the Presses!

Lynn and Chris, you did a wonderful job and Mystery News will be missed.

This is ther first I’ve heard of it. Sad news, indeed. Not that I can blame Lynn and Chris. I can’t imagine how they managed to do all that work so steadily and so well for all those years.

  2. Rick says:

I heard it somewhere or other, then it was on The Rap Sheet site.

(think they’re having as much fun at B’con than they would if we were there?

  3. Chris says:

We did have a great time at Bcon, and I’m sure it would have been better with both of you there!

We are both looking forward to the next chapters of our fan lives…this time without bi-monthly deadlines. As you may remember, we are both fairly strongly opinionated women and neither of us is likely to keep those opinions to herself for very long…

  4. Richard says:

Chris – I’m glad you had a good time. I’m sure you both will stay busy in and out of mystery fandom.

  5. Chris says:

P.S. thanks for the nice words!

  6. Richard says:

You’re welcome! I just wish I could have done more with MN, but life sorta got in the way.
