Ah, Spring!

Last night sometime it was supposed to become Spring, but you’d never know it here in the west. While the rest of the country is enjoying Spring-like, or even Summery weather, it’s still cold, rainy and windy here. For heaven’s sake it snowed¬†here yesterday! Still, our daffodils are bravely trying to bring on the season. Here’s a photo I took between showers on Monday. Hope you all are having a great Spring, and continue to do so!

  1. It’s rough here in North Carolina today, pushing close to eighty. Heh!

WordPress still won’t let me comment going straight to your blog from either the email notification of a new post or from the bookmarked link, only by logging into my blog and connecting from there.

  2. It was 80 degrees in Western NY today. This was the earliest 80 degree temperature in the history of weather stats in this area. We’ve gone from Winter to Summer.

It’s nuts! I saw this morning that today it was going to be 44 in Portland, 73 in New York. And as George said, inland and upstate – Buffalo and Syracuse for crying out loud! – have been warmer. We are expecting 80 degrees on Thursday.

My brother in eastern Tennessee told me Tuesday it’s in the 90s there! Yikes! Here, it snowed this morning for an hour or so, and will again tomorrow.

The freakiest March I have ever seen. The trees are in bloom-6 weeks ahead of schedule.

Yes, strange. Here in Portland OR, it snowed all day yesterday and last night, we got about 4 inches, very heavy wet snow. We have snapped branches on trees, a couple of smaller, 10 ft. trees that are completely healed over. The daffodils in the picture here are smashed flat.

  7. Test run. Supposedly WordPress is making changes(found out from a post on Scalzi’s blog). Let’s see…

  8. Yep, they seem to have fixed the problem.

  9. Richard says:

Excellent! I hadn’t heard. Thanks, Randy, nice to see you back!
